Cemetery of Polish Army soldiers killed in the Polish-Bolshevik War and the Second World War.

The Buraki farmstead used to belong to the descendants of Jakub Krasowski of the Ślepowron coat of arms. There was a forest cemetery here from 1863. The site was chosen for the burial of 14 legionaries killed in 1920 in the surrounding fields, establishing a regular war cemetery which was under the care of the inhabitants and the municipality. The necropolis was renovated by the Polish authorities between 1928 and 1929. During World War II, the bodies of three Home Army soldiers were laid to rest here - two soldiers from the "Kmicic" unit: Jan Chrzczonowicz "Wred" and Władysław Markiewicz "Sęk" (killed in the battle near Czećwierci on 10.08.1943), then Wiktor Bałachwiej, exhumed from a temporary grave in the forest. An AK soldier named Duszyński also rested here. The last inhabitants of the village and caretakers of the cemetery were the siblings Antonina and Marian Panitowski/Poniatowski, to whom the cemetery owes its survival. They both died in 1983 and are buried in this cemetery. There are a total of 10 structures in the cemetery, arranged in 3 rows; the graves of soldiers from 1920 are intermingled with those of Home Army soldiers and do not form separate plots or rows. The gravestones have different forms. In the first row there is a symbolic grave; its inscription lists all the people buried in this cemetery: "Ś.P. / In the cemetery in Buraki / were buried / unknown Polish insurgents from 1863 / 14 NN soldiers of the Polish Army / fallen on 9 July 1920. / Władysław Markiewicz / a.k.a. "Sęk" Home Army soldier on 10.08.1943 / Jan Chrzczonowski / a.k.a. "Wred" Home Army soldier on 10.08.1943 / Wiktor Bałachwiej / a.k.a. "Wit" Home Army soldier / Przechodniu powiedz Polsce / that we fell faithful to her service / Antonina Poniatowska / 1901 - 1983.16.04 / Marian Poniatowski / 1898 - 1983.18.04 / meritorious creators and caretakers / of this cemetery". Next to the symbolic grave is the tomb of the Poniatowski/Panitowski siblings. Four identical graves of Home Army soldiers, a monument with a plaque containing the Virtuti Militari cross and a short invocation are placed in the following rows: "Passerby tell Poland that we fell faithful to her service" and two identical graves of soldiers from 1920 and a metal cross with an inscription dedicated to them: "On the third anniversary of their deaths this Cross was erected on the grave of 14 unknown Polish soldiers - fallen on 9 July 1920. Sleep tight, brave heroes who loved the freedom of their Homeland more than life. The whole cemetery is surrounded by a low metal fence with a gate.
