Digitisation of the archive collections of the Piłsudski Institute in London, the Piłsudski and Stefan Mayer collections

Information about the object:
Stefan Mayer (1895-1981) - in the pre-war years, chief of intelligence in the Second Branch of the General Staff in Poland; among other things, he supervised the Cipher Bureau of the Second Branch of the General Staff dealing with the breaking of the German machine cipher (Enigma), and in the years 1941-1945 he was involved in the training of Polish intelligence officers.

Completed works:
As part of the project, the collections of Jozef, Jan and Bronislaw Pilsudski were digitised and digitally secured, and work continued on archive number 100 'Stefan Mayer Collection'.

In total, over 4,200 pages of documents were digitised and described. The originals have been secured in archive boxes (acid-free).

The collections are available online.
