A modernised reading of the text

The T.S.L. House of Education was established in the Lviv district.

In the settlement of Dębianka near Szczerec, Lviv district, a solemn service was held in the church on 3 May, attended by about 1,000 people from Dębianka and neighbouring villages. Fr Zieliński of the Carmelite Fathers gave a solemn sermon. After the service, from under the church those present went in a procession with a horse band in front of the educational house of the Grunwald Circle of the T. S. L..

It was at the triumphal gate that the chairman of the Grunwald Circle, Mr. Kuczynski, welcomed the district governor of Lwow, Mr. Leon, followed by a speech by Mr. Dziedzic, the chairman of the reading house of the T. S. L., who presented the governor with bread and salt. One of the girls presented the starost with a bouquet of flowers, assuring the young people in her speech of her ardent love of the Fatherland and her readiness to sacrifice for it. In turn, the chairman, Mr Kuczyński, gave a speech giving a historical outline of the establishment of the Dębianka settlement and mentioning that the settlers had built an educational house and a church with their own efforts, and with the help of the T.S.L. a primary school had been established. Rev. Zieliński consecrated the house, after which he delivered the occasional speech.

The programme of celebrations continued, prepared very carefully by the always self-sacrificing teaching staff of the four comprehensive schools. The following spoke to those gathered in the common room of the T. S. L. reading room: the school inspector Mr Dulębowski, Colonel Zygmuntowicz and Colonel Jackowski.
