Manor house of the Krzysztofowicz family (later Krzysztofowicz-Jaruzelski family) in Załucze (Dolne)

The Krzysztofowicz family is a well-known family of Polish Armenians. The Kniaże and Załucze estates, among others, belonged to this family on the Czeremosz River. In the village are the remains of a dilapidated manor house, owned by the landowner Mikołaj Krzysztofowicz, a member of the State Council in Vienna and the Galician National Sejm (who died in 1935 and was buried in a nearby - also dilapidated - church). Mikołaj's only daughter Izabela married (according to Wikipedia and other sources) Wincenty Jaruzelski, who was nota bene a relative of General Wojciech Jaruzelski. In the materials of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) (and other sources), one can find information that the Krzysztofowicz (Jaruzelski) estate became the "capital" of Poland for 3 days in 1939, as President Ignacy Mościcki spent the last days before his departure for Romania from 14 September to 17 September in this manor house. The whole rather complicated and interesting story is completed by the fact that Mikołaj Krzysztofowicz was also the great-grandson of Zbyszek Cybulski (a well-known Polish actor). The latter, incidentally, was born in Kniaże and also stayed in Załucze many times later. The current state of the Krzysztofowicz manor house was brought about by the fact that for a long time, an orphanage for the disabled operated in the estate's buildings.
