Biography:

Eugeniusz Bonifacy Kucharski (1906-1977), born in Grabowiec, son of Wincenty. After finishing gymnasium, he moved to Liege in Belgium, where he studied at the polytechnic. In 1927 he founded the Higher Vocational (correspondence) School of Radio Engineering , from 1936 on the Bd. Sébastopol in Paris, after the Second World War in 1945 it resumed its activities under the name "L'École Professionnelle Superieure". In 1932, he began to work as a lecturer at the École Superieure The school he ran was very successful and had consultancy points all over the country. He invested the money he earned in estates, but also in art and polonics. He acquired the title of Marquis de la Maddalena and de l'Ayre in 1960 from Francesco Mario II Patermo Castello Gotadoz Ayerbe d' Aragon etc., titular king of the Balearic Archipelago (J. Odrowąż-Pieniążek, '"Polonica zbierane po świecie", Warsaw 1992, p. 177). E. Kucharski joined the Knights Order of the Order of the Golden Fleece around 1970, was knighted as a Knight of the Golden Fleece by the Grand Master of the Order Infanta of Spain Don Jaime was awarded the Order of the Golden Fleece, and then as Grand Prior of the Order was awarded the Grand Golden Chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece No. 9, which he then acquired in his own right and considered himself the guardian of the decoration in France. E. Kucharski donated the Golden Chain to the Royal Castle in Warsaw from where it returned to Spain (J. Odrowąż-Pieniążek, ibid. pp. 179, 184). Also mentioned as his place of death is the village of Royan-Pontaillac, where he had a villa 'Les Roches' (Kucharski bought it in 1950, in 2014 it belonged to Marc Jukubowski), buried 29 X 1977.
