Biography:

Felicja Pacanowska (1907-2002), Polish painter and engraver. In 1932 she graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw (painting and engraving). She studied printmaking in Paris for three years, then went on an artistic trip to Italy and Germany. In 1937, she returned to Poland and then settled in France. During the Second World War she had to go into hiding because of her Jewish origin. She died in 2002 in Rome.
