In front of the entrance to the Varna Planetarium stands a statue of Nicolaus Copernicus, one of the most recognisable features of the attraction. The statue was created in 1968. Designed by Lubomir Dalchev, it was made by Petar Atanasaov. As a result of damage by vandals, the statue underwent extensive restoration.
