Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

In the 1930s, a Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was created on the top of the Volovec mountain in Krzemieniec, where the ashes of Polish soldiers killed in the Krzemieniec district in 1915-1921 were buried. The remains were collected from various places and placed in 10 coffins.

The grave area is surrounded by a concrete fence with posts. On the grave stands a tall obelisk on a pedestal, topped with a cross. On the slab in front of the obelisk is an image of the Virtuti Militari Cross. An inscription is engraved on the obelisk: "Mogiła Nieznanego Żołnierza".
