In the Catholic cemetery in Swieciany there is a grave of a veterinary surgeon, Romuald Kleban, murdered by the Germans in 1944. The circumstances of this event are not known.
The grave features a small concrete obelisk topped by a metal cross; a plaque of light marble is placed on the obelisk. The inscription on it reads: "The late / Romuald / Kleban / veterinary surgeon / born. 1907 / died on 7 July 1944 / from a bullet from the German fascists / Honour his memory".
