Grave of the Koreyew family, executed in 1944.

The inhabitants of Podborze and the surrounding area were a mainstay of the Home Army's operations in the area. They cooperated with the partisans in defending themselves against the robbery of Soviet-Jewish partisans who had their habitat in the Rudnice Forest. Unfortunately, many of the inhabitants were killed in the fight against the Soviets.

Jaroslaw and Zofia Korejwo are buried in the cemetery in Podborz. They were shot on 27.04.1944 in Niewoniańce by Soviet partisans from the Rudnicka Forest. Along with them the Tietiacin family was then killed, also buried in the cemetery in Podborze.

On the grave of the Koreyvs stands a stone tombstone topped with a cross. The inscription reads: "Ś.P. / Jeroslav ? Korejwo / died Dn. 15 IV 1943 / at the age of 30 / of Malewska / Zofia Korejwo / died Dn. 15 IV 1943 / at the age of 36 // Peace to their souls".
