Rotmistrz Wacław Motak, a Home Army soldier who was shot dead by the NKVD on 15.07.1944, when talks were taking place between the command of the Vilnius district of the Home Army and the command of the Third Byelorussian Front, is buried in a small cemetery on the edge of the village.

The inscription on the simple soldier's cross reads: "The late Rotmistrz of the AK / Waclaw Motak / shot dead by the NKVD / on 15 July 1944".
