In the local cemetery there is a mass grave of 12 victims of the German occupation - inhabitants of Horni Sucha. Four of them - Antoni Paszek, Karol Tyrlik, Wiktor Urban, Jozef Urban - were miners taken from the František mine for contacts with the resistance movement and shot dead on 20 February 1945. Albin Stoszek, Gabryel Stoszek and Wilhelm Zielonka were killed in an execution on 15 September 1944 in Horni Sucha. Leopold Kożusznik and Zenon Kożusznik, mentioned on the memorial, died on 6 August1944 during a German execution in Żywocice. In turn, two more villagers were killed on 10 September 1944 - Jozef Struhala and Zgubisz. The last of the buried - Alojzy Sikora - was executed on 4 April 1945 in the heavy prison in Mirov (German: Mürau) near Olomouc, and after the war he was exhumed and buried in his home village. In 1969 a memorial by the sculptor František Swider from Karviná was erected on the grave, consisting of two plaques with the names of the buried, a pedestal with a cross and a figure of a weeping woman in the middle.
