Grave of a soldier of the 1st Armoured Division in the cemetery at the Evangelical Church

At the Evangelical cemetery in Langholt in the German soldiers' quarters a soldier of the 1st Armoured Division, Pfc. Zenon Stebner, serving under the alias Krupa, who fell on 26.04.1945.

The quarters are centrally located a short distance from the main avenue. It features four distinctive tall sandstone plaques. The tallest of these bears the Wehrmacht cross and a quotation from St John's gospel, "Ich lebe und ihr sollt auch leben - Joh.14.19" [I live and you shall live, John 14.19], while the two plaques on its sides bear the names of eight buried soldiers (the name of a Pole is recorded as Zenon Krupa). The fourth plaque on the right is dedicated to a fallen Polish soldier and contains the correct notation of his personalities, military rank, date of birth and death and information about his affiliation to the 1st Armoured Division.
