Jacewicze, located one kilometre from Podborze, was a large village of which only three homesteads now remain. An old cemetery with several tombstones has been preserved on the knoll. One of them stands out with a beautiful eagle carved in stone and a long epitaph. It is the grave of lancer Jan Krupinski, killed on 16.10.1920 near Olkieniki in a battle against the Lithuanians.The grave is unfenced, consisting of a concrete walling filled with earth and a vertical stone inscription plate set behind it on the foundation. The inscription reads: "Ś+P / TU LEŻY UŁAN / JAN KRUPIŃSKI / z 1 p. uł. 1 szw. 2 pl. Kaw. / Cross of Valour / died in defence of his beloved / Homeland on 16 X 20 in the charge near / Olkieniki. His brave deed / was done under the command of: 2nd platoon sergeant / platoon sergeant Stabiński / 2nd squadron sergeant / lieutenant Podgórski / dyon sergeant rtm. / Obertyński and regimental sergeant / reg. Kunicki".
