Grave of a Polish Army soldier killed in September 1939.

A non-commissioned officer of the 9th Regiment of Mounted Riflemen, PFC Stefan Górczak took part in the September 1939 campaign. He died of wounds received in the battles of Przeździeck and Dmochy. He was posthumously awarded the "Cross of Valour".

His grave is located in the cemetery on Palidovo Street, to the right of the entrance to the necropolis. The inscription (now badly damaged) reads: "Ś + P / Stefan / Górczak / st. wach. 9 p.strz.kon. / in battle for the Fatherland / sustained heavy wounds [...]".
