Tomb of the de Rayneval family

A chapel, the corners are framed by cannelled pilasters with Corinthian capitals, the walls are rusticated, the roof is gabled, the front with mouldings projecting beyond the light of the wall on the corners of which are acroterions surmounted by a cross, in the tympanum two coats of arms, the entrance framed by a moulded three-tier moulding, in the interior under the window there is an altar, the entrance door is missing; sandstone, marble (altar). Inscription under altar on antepediment, on marble slab, words separated by dots halfway up.

Coat of arms: above the entrance, two oval shields held at their sides by lions, on the left the coat of arms of the family of Gérard hr. de Rayneval covered with a count's crown, on the right of the family of the Dukes of Sherbat, covered with a ducal mitre. The colours marked with a chevron. In the left shield of silver four red byzantines, in the right shield the coat of arms completely obliterated, polyfoil, traces of sashing and elements identifiable with the coat of arms of the Dukes of Szerbaty.

Eugène Ernest Gérard de Rayneval (born 4 April 1827 in Bern, Switzerland; died 5 August 1878 in Neuilly-lès-Dijon, Côte d'Or) -spiritualist (écclésiastique), died at the age of 51. Son of François Joseph Maximilien Gérard de Rayneval and Alexandrine Włodek. He was buried on 8 August 1879 (annual number 845), transferred from Neuilly-lès-Dijon.

Charles Gérard de Rayneval (born 26 November 1825, Bern, Switzerland; died 14 October 1911, Paris, where he resided at 3 rue de Lamennais) - Minister plenipotentiary, officer of the Legion of Honour, Knight of numerous decorations, including Grand Cross of the Order of Ernestine of Saxony, Commander of the Orders of Saint Maurice and Lazarus and the Crown of Prussia, Knight of the Orders of Saint Ferdinand and Francis I of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. He died at the age of 85, bearing the sacraments of the Church. Son of François Joseph Maximilien Gérard de Rayneval and Alexandrine Wlodek. Buried on 17 October 1911. Constance Adélaïde Gérard de Rayneval (b. 2 November 1815; d. 19 August 1877, Bad Ems, Germany), daughter of François Joseph Maximilien Gérard de Rayneval and Alexandrine Włodek. She died at the age of 61. Buried on 24 August 1877 (annual number 3309), transferred from Bad Ems.

Hélène Alexandrine Anne Maximilienne Gérard de Rayneval (b. 30 August 1851, Paris; d. 17 October 1924, Chambray-lès-Tours, Indre-et-Loire), daughter of Eugène Pierre Alexandre Gérard Count de Rayneval and Princess Olga Scherbatoff. She died at the age of 73. Buried on 21 October 1924 (annual no. 2195, geneanet no. 141092), transferred from Chambray-lès-Tours. Note: the geneanet gives an incorrect annual date (1925 instead of the correct 1924).

Eugène Alexandre Gérard hr. de Rayneval (born 11 August 1814 in Paris, died 31 January 1871) - captain of a frigate (capitaine de frégate) and chamberlain to Napoleon III. Son of François Joseph Maximilien Gérard de Rayneval and Alexandrine Włodek. Died at the age of 56. He was buried on 30 September 1871 (annual no. 1615, gen. no. 345384), transferred from Grandville.
