Graves of Poles from World War II in the Parkfriedhof Marzahn cemetery

There are 373 Polish citizens buried in the Parkfriedhof Marzahn municipal cemetery in Berlin. Most of them are forced labourers who died during the Second World War. Buried in this cemetery is Błażej Stolarski, a social and political activist, one of the leaders of the people's movement, serving as Deputy Speaker of the Senate from 1938, who was murdered by the Germans on 21 October 1939.
In 2020-2021 the Polish-German Reconciliation Foundation, within the framework of the task co-financed by the Ministerial Programme "Sites of National Remembrance Abroad", compiled data on the buried persons and made them available, together with a description of the cemetery, on the website of the project "Polish Memorials and War Graves in Germany": https://polskiegroby.pl/cmentarz.php?jez=pl&cmentarzok=56&miejsceok=349&landok=3.
