In the wilderness near the village of Mincza, there is a cemetery where civilians murdered for taking part in the January Uprising and for supporting the insurgents are buried.

For many years the cemetery was forgotten. It was renovated by Lithuanians in 2003, on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the uprising. Other commemorative elements were added in the following years, including a chapel pillar in memory of the insurgents, carved by Dr Romualdas Šimkūnas in 2013.

The cemetery is surrounded by an earth embankment, with two sculptures and a display case with information text in Lithuanian and English placed at the entrance.
