In the Bernardine Cemetery at Žvirgždyno 3, some soldiers of the Home Army who died in battles against the Germans during Operation Ostra Brama, as well as in earlier battles, were laid to rest. During the vetting of the cemetery, carried out by employees of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in 2025, the graves of the following soldiers were found:
1. Capt. Stanislaw Weychert, died 6.04.1944.
2. Lieutenant Bolesław Łucznik "Sław", sabotage instructor, wounded in the Operation "Ostra Brama", died 22.07.1944.
3rd Konstanty Kozerowski pseud. "Jur", died on 10.07.1944. Initially he was buried in the courtyard of St. Jacob's hospital, but later his body was moved to the Bernardine cemetery.
All these graves are in very poor condition and need immediate restoration. Studies on the burials of AK soldiers in Vilnius state that there were many more graves of AK soldiers in this cemetery. They have not been preserved to the present day because they were situated on a steep hillside, just above the river, and were destroyed during a landslide.
