Henryk Epstein (1891-1944?), born in Lodz, painter and printmaker, associated with the École de Paris.

He was educated in Munich and Paris. After the First World War he settled in France, where he worked in the artistic milieu of Montparnasse, exhibiting his works in prestigious Parisian salons. He painted still lifes, landscapes, genre scenes and nudes, drawing inspiration from Fauvism and Expressionism, among others. During World War II, he was arrested and deported to Auschwitz, where he died - the exact date of his death is unknown.
