Biography:

Henryk Rodakowski (1823-1894), Polish realist painter, particularly known as a creator of portraits. Winner of a first-class medal in portraiture at the Paris Salon for his Portrait of General Henryk Dembiński (1852). Director and president of the Society of Friends of Fine Arts, chairman of the National Museum Committee. Awarded the National Order of the Legion of Honour, the Knight's Cross of the Order of Leopold and the Order of François Joseph.
