Biography:

Ida (Eta, Idalia) Brauner (Brojner), Wolman (1891-1949) - Polish-Jewish visual artist, specialising in painting, graphics, sculpture and applied art design, active in the Kingdom of Poland, Germany, Poland and Ukraine. After studying in Berlin and at the Academy of Arts in Dresden, she returned to her native Lodz before settling in Warsaw. From 1919 she was associated with the Jung Jidysz group. She gained recognition in the inter-war period with her graphic works, batiks and majolica. After the outbreak of World War II, she moved to Lviv, where she stayed for two years before returning to Warsaw.
