Jan II Casimir Vasa (1609-1672), born in Kraków, son of Sigismund III Vasa and Constance of Habsburg, king of Poland, grand duke of Lithuania, cardinal and titular king of Sweden. He was the last king of Poland from the Vasa dynasty. He abdicated in 1668; after his abdication he went to France, where he became abbot of the abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
