Janusz Tadeusz Kusociński (1907-1940), Polish sportsman, athlete. Multiple Polish champion and record holder in middle and long distance running. Olympic gold medallist from Los Angeles in the 10,000m run. Won a silver medal at the first European Championships over 5,000 m. He took part in the defence of Warsaw and was active in the independence underground during the German occupation. Murdered by the Germans in 1940.
