Biography:

Jerzy Józef Ryszard William Beill (1885-1976), born in Warsaw, son of Antoni and Zofia née Wildt, architect, town planner and civil servant. He obtained the Diploma of Architectural Engineering from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Gdansk University of Technology in 1912. He was a member of the founding group of the Polish Academic Corporation of the Union of Gdańsk Academics "Wisła". From 1923 he belonged to the Society of Polish Town Planners, and in 1926 he joined the Warsaw Branch of the Association of Polish Architects (SAP). Between 1921 and 1932, he collaborated with the magazines "Architektura" and "Architektura i Budownictwo". After the Second World War, he served as head of the design department in the Ministries of Reconstruction and Construction of Towns and Estates.
