Biography:

Jerzy Warchałowski (1874-1939) - Polish writer, art critic and theoretician, promoter of modernism; active in the Russian Empire, Poland. He was one of the founding members of the Cracow Workshops and Polish Applied Art groups. He played a key role in the success of the Poles at the International Exhibition of Modern Fine Arts and Industry in Paris in 1925, as commissioner of the Polish pavilion, selecting the participants taking part in the event.
