Biography:

Józef Jarema (1900-1974) - Polish painter; active in Poland and France Italy. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. He belonged to the Kapists group. Together with them, he stayed in Paris from 19924 to 1931. After his return to Poland he started cooperation with the Cricot theatre. During the Second World War he got to Monte Cassino through Romania. After the war he settled in Italy. Together with Enrico Prampolini he founded the "Art Club" in Rome. In 1950 he moved to Nice, from where he emigrated to Munich in 1960.
