Biography:

Józef Warnia-Zarzecki (1850-1925), painter of Polish origin. Born in Nantes, he studied painting at Wojciech Gerson's Drawing School in Warsaw and at the Academy in Munich. From 1883 he stayed in Constantinople, where he taught drawing and painting at the Academy.
