Adam Mickiewicz Stone in Kaunas

Adam Mickiewicz spent part of his life in Kaunas and expressed great affection for the city. His favourite place was the valley that is now called Adam Mickiewicz Valley. There is a stone there on which Mickiewicz's friends engraved his initials and the date 1823. In front of the stone is a plaque bearing an excerpt from the poem "Grażyna" describing the valley in Lithuanian.
