Colca Canyon

A canyon in the Arequipa region, which was first paddled by Poles in 1981: Andrzej Piętowski, Piotr Chmieliński, Jerzy Majcherczyk, Stefan Danielski, Krzysztof Kraśniewski, Jacek Bogucki and Zbigniew Bzdak. The achievement was entered in the Guinness Book of Records in 1984. The participants of the expedition gave the Colca Canyon several names referring to their homeland, such as John Paul II Waterfalls, Poles' Canyon or Chocolate Canyon.
