We would like to invite you to a meeting devoted to one of the most important projects carried out by the Polonika Institute in 2020 - the restoration of the Krzyżanowski Chapel in Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv.

As part of our series 'Thursdays at ease', we talk about the extremely difficult conservation work on the Krzyżanowski family's neo-Gothic mausoleum, which has regained its former splendour thanks to a large grant from the Institute. We talk about which elements caused the conservators the most difficulties. We also explain why it was so important to preserve the chapel for future generations. Marcin Kozarzewski, a long-standing lecturer at the Conservation Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, who, together with the Monument Service company, was responsible for the conservation of the Krzyżanowski Chapel, is our guest speaker.
