Biography:

Karol Hiller (1891-1939) - Polish painter, graphic artist, photographer, creator of the graphic technique known as heliographe (1928). In his art he was inspired by Constructivism. He graduated from the chemistry departments at the Darmstadt Technical College and the Warsaw University of Technology. He also studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kyiv. From 1921, he lived in Łódź. An activist of the League for the Defence of Human and Civil Rights and a member of the Communist Party of Poland.
