The tombstone of Professor Karolina Lanckorońska (1898-2002) is located in Rome's Campo Verano cemetery, in the foreigners' quarters known as Vecchio Reparto, riquadro 38 (riquadro stranieri). Karolina Lanckorońska is one of the key figures of Polish emigration in Rome and co-initiator of the Polish Historical Institute. but also an art historian, Home Army soldier and Ravensbrück prisoner.
