Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Stryi

The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Stryj was erected in the mid-14th century, equipped by Wladyslaw Jagiello in 1427. The temple was repeatedly destroyed. In 1886, the church suffered its worst fire. Its reconstruction, which took 5 years, started in 1886, according to a design by Julian Zachariewicz.
The church was rebuilt in Neo-Gothic style, although some of the Renaissance furnishings, including the late Renaissance portal, have been preserved. In 2020 restoration work was carried out on the 17th century grilles placed in the windows of the portal
