Several dozen Poles, who had been forcibly settled here by the Soviet authorities during World War II, died in the North and South Korgowa specpossolink between 1940 and 1941. The dead were buried in the cemetery located next to this settlement.

On 8.05.2010, on one of the barrows of this cemetery, Poles and Russians placed a cross made of tree branches and decorated with a ribbon and a rosette in the colours of the Polish flag.
