A quarter in the cemetery on Puszkińska Street of Polish Army soldiers killed in the Polish-Bolshevik War

Deep in the cemetery, in the corner, is the military quarter of Polish soldiers from the years 1918-1920. A total of 44 soldiers (including 30 known by name and 14 unknown) are buried in 26 individual and 11 mass graves. The main monument is situated on the side of the cemetery, on its right side. Its pedestal bears the inscription "To the Fallen in Honour 1918-1920". The renovation of the quarters was carried out in 2014, the work being financed by the Council for the Protection of Struggle and Martyrdom Remembrance. As part of the work, the concrete borders and grave slabs were replaced with replicas made of granite, the main monument underwent conservation. In accordance with the architect's concept, the slabs on the graves of unknown soldiers were left without inscriptions. In 2020, the drainage of the cemetery section was improved - the work was carried out by the Foundation Aid to Poles in the East within the framework of the task co-financed from the programme of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage 'Sites of National Remembrance Abroad'.
