A quarter in the cemetery on Różańska Street of Polish Army soldiers killed in the Polish-Bolshevik War

On the south-eastern slope of the cemetery in Różańska Street there is a Polish war plot. Buried here are soldiers from the 79th pp. Slonim Riflemen, who died in the Polish-Bolshevik war of 1919-1920. The cemetery was established in 1938, and for many years after the Second World War no one took care of it. In 1998, members of the Union of Poles in Belarus cleaned up the quarters. The Poles were helped in their work by soldiers from the nearby garrison. In 2001. The Council for the Protection of Remembrance of Struggle and Martyrdom carried out the renovation of the quarters and financed the erection of the main commemoration, on which the inscription was engraved: "In tribute to the soldiers of the Polish Army / fallen between 1919 and 1920". The quarter has 252 graves, almost all of which are currently unnamed - only 4 names of buried soldiers could be read. The renovation of the cemetery section was carried out in 2021 by the Foundation in Aid to Poles in the East as part of a task co-financed by the programme of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage 'Places of National Remembrance Abroad'. Due to the significant deterioration of the tombstone material, granite replicas of the tombstones were made, and the main commemoration underwent conservation.
