In the north-eastern part of the cemetery there is a war cemetery section, currently occupying an area of 16 x 56 m. It contains 197 graves, situated in 6 rows: five rows contain 36 graves each. Polish soldiers killed in the struggle for Polish independence between 1916 and 1920 are buried here. 197 graves have been preserved, arranged in 6 rows: five rows contain 36 graves each and one row contains 17 graves. This quarters used to be larger, but due to the sand-picking in its immediate vicinity, several graves in each row have slipped down.
Since 2005, restoration and cleaning work has been going on here, funded by the Council for the Protection of Struggle and Martyrdom Remembrance. Most of the work was carried out by scouts from the ZHP troop in Zgierz. New crosses and grave frames were made. On some fragments of the old grave crosses and inscription boards the names of the buried soldiers were preserved, which made it possible to establish the personalities of 7 of the buried. A central cross was placed in the quarters, around which a small lapidarium was arranged.
Currently, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, under the programme "Sites of National Remembrance Abroad", finances the permanent year-round care of this quarter.
