Biography:

Born in Lacka Wola. He completed his law studies in Lvov. After his studies, he served in the Austrian Imperial Home Defence. After Poland regained its independence, he was admitted to the Polish Army. In the years 1922-1929, he served as deputy commander in a heavy artillery regiment in Chełm, later in Kraków. In the years 1929-1934, he served as commander. In August 1939, he was appointed regimental commander. After the September 1939 campaign, he made his way to France and then to Great Britain, where he continued his military career. After the war, he remained in exile in London, where he successively held the posts of Minister of National Defence in Stanisław Mackiewicz's government, President of the Supreme Chamber of Control in Exile and member of the Polish National Council.
