Biography:

Marcin Jabłoński (1801-1876), born in Głogów, painter. Fascinated by painting, he mastered this art on his own, copying works seen in galleries. In 1820, he settled in Lviv, where he began his career as a portraitist and carried out commissions for churches. In 1848, he established his own lithographic studio there. He made illustrations for such publications as "Okolice Galicji" (1848), "Widoki galicyjskie" (1848) and "Widoki okolic Krakowa" (1852). From 1848, he belonged to the Society of Lviv Booksellers, Antiquarians and Printers.
