Maria Anna Baugnies de Saint Marceaux, née Radwan (1904-1984), born in Warsaw, daughter of Zygmunt Radwan (d. 1922) and Paulina Wertheim (1882-1932), actress and singer. From 1930, she was linked to the sculptor August Zamoyski (d. 1970), who immortalised her in the sculptures 'Venus' and 'Standing'. From this union she had a daughter, Nathalie (c. 1930-2011), a doctor. During the Second World War, she fought in the FFC (Service historique de la Défense, Vincennes GR 16 P 497171). In 1950, she married the sculptor Jean-Claude Marie Georges Baugnies de Saint Marceaux.
