Tombstone of the Baugnies family

On a broad base on an axis of a slightly sloping slab, on the sides of the base on three sides of the stone screen with a half-rafter cover on which panels for inscription plaques are placed on the inside, at the head there is a high vertical aedicula framed on the sides with cannelled pilasters, in the lower part of the pilasters on the projections there are reliefs of antique amphoras, on the pilasters there is a transverse beam on which on the projections on both sides there are relief palm leaves on which in the central part there are hourglasses. Inscriptions: on the transverse beam aedicula (1), on the aedicula (2), on the left screen from the inside in the first from the front panel (3), on the right screen from the inside in the panel (4).

Georges Baugnies de Saint Marceaux, son of Marguerite Jourdain and her first husband Eugène Baugnies, adopted in 1913 by her second husband René de Saint-Marceaux .

Jean-Claude Marie Georges Baugnies de Saint Marceaux (known as Jean-Claude de Saint Marceaux), born 15 September 1902 in Cuy-Saint-Fiacre (Seine-Maritime), son of Jacques and Yvonne de Montagnac, sculptor, participant in the Resistance during the Second World War. His first wife was Germaine Leclerc (married in 1925, divorced) and his second wife was Maria (Maneta) Radwan.
