Biography:

Marian Einbacher (1900-1943), born in Poznań, was a footballer and bank clerk.

In his club career he was for many years associated with Warta Poznań, where he played both before and after the First World War. He played mainly in attack, and his greatest achievements were the bronze medal of the Polish championship in 1921 and the vice-championship in 1922 and 1925. In league games he played eighteen matches, scoring fourteen goals. Due to a meniscus injury, he ended his adventure with football in 1925.

As a representative of Poland, he played only once, taking part in the first official match of the national team on 18 December 1921, when Poland lost to Hungary 0:1 in Budapest.

After his sporting career ended, Marian Einbacher began working in banking, serving as director of the People's Bank in Poznań. In 1935, he became an honorary member of Warta Poznań.

During World War II, he was arrested by the Germans and sent to the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp, where he died on 12 January 1943.
