There is an old cemetery near the village. Insurgents from the unit of Jan Sendek (Sędek), who died on 14.07.1863 in the battle in the Rudnice Forest, rest here. The grave was arranged or renovated in 1921 thanks to the efforts of the Rudnice Forest Inspectorate. On 11.05.2013 a new cross was erected on the insurgents' grave. The initiator and executor of this commemoration is the local sculptor Edward Kurkianiec. The grave is fenced on three sides with a wooden fence, next to the high cross there is a vertical wooden plaque with an inscription in Lithuanian: "1863 /Nežinomas / sukilelis" ("1863 / unknown / insurgent/"). It is also worth quoting an inscription from an older, no longer existing commemoration: "To the nameless Freedom Fighter. Here rests an insurgent officer, unknown by name, wounded in a victorious battle with the Muscovites on the first day of Whitsun in 1863 under the command of "Sendek". The battle took place in the backwoods of the Rudnytsya Pushcha (quarter 77) at the source of the river "Szpigujec". / Thanks to the efforts of the Rudnicki Forest District, this cross was erected on 14 August 1921. / Passer-by, remember with a grateful heart the heroes who won freedom for your homeland by sacrificing their blood and lives.
