In the cemetery there is a mass grave of Polish Army soldiers killed in 1919-1920 during the fighting during the breaking of the front near Zwiahl. Several skirmishes took place there. The most important of these took place in October 1919 and in March and June 1920. A concentration of Polish troops before the assault on Kyiv in May 1920 also took place there. Soldiers of various regiments and formations (infantry, cavalry) took part in the warfare. It has not been possible to establish the exact number of those buried, but there were certainly several dozen of them. In the interwar period, there were plans to move to the cemetery in Susły the remains of nine soldiers killed in 1920 and buried in the neighbouring village of Aneta. No documentary evidence of this exhumation has survived.

The grave field is surrounded by a granite kerb. Inside the field on a small base is a granite cross, not very high, with an image of the Virtuti Militari Cross. Beneath the cross is a vertical plaque with an inscription in Ukrainian and Polish. The inscription reads: "To the memory of several dozen / soldiers and officers of the Polish Army / killed in the battles near Zwiahl / in 1919-1920 / Compatriots".
