Biography:

Mojżesz Broderson (1890-1956) was a Polish painter, draughtsman and poet of Jewish origin who worked in Yiddish and was active in the Russian Empire and Poland. From 1918 he was associated with the Lodz community. Co-founder of the Jung Jidysz group. In 1927 he co-founded the cabaret of the Lodz Jewish Revival and Chamber Theatre "Ararat". In 1948 he was exiled to Siberia, but managed to return to Poland. His realisations, bordering on abstraction, maintained in the expressionist-futurist spirit, were distinguished by the pursuit of synthesis, geometrisation and a pessimistic atmosphere.
