Tombstone of Adam Aframowicz

Burial site originally marked by a cross on a two-stage plinth, base and foundation. Cross not preserved. First step of plinth with moulded upper edges. On the front an engraved inscription (1). The second step of the pedestal tapering upwards. On the front a plaque with engraved inscription (2), framed by two pilasters supporting double arches surmounted by a cross with trillions. Next to the gravestone is a cast-iron cross from another monument with serrated arms on a profiled plinth. At the intersection of the arms there is a visible attachment of a Christ figure. The face of the cross has been excavated.

2. Tu spoczywa / S. P. / Adam / AFRAMOWICZ / Doktor Medycyny / zm.[15] Czerw. 1883 r. / wieku l[at] 60. //.

Additional information:

Time of creation determined hypothetically based on form and dates of life. The gravestone is listed in the file of Wacław Wejtka (card no. 25), where the cross of the monument is described as 'ornamental'. The gravestone was also originally intended to be enclosed by a cast-iron fence.

State of preservation:

mosses, lichens, cracks, cavities, inscription partly obliterated, non-maintained finial
