Additional information:

According to Wacław Wejtka's file, he was born in the village of Kunkułka, died in Vilnius, was a January Uprising insurgent, brother of Tytus and Franciszek, who was hanged at Łukiszki in 1864. The inscription contains fragments of a text by Anna Bujwidówna. Wejtko gives the following stanzas: [...] Co-insurgents years ago we offer you a gift, / We crown your grave with laurel of valour, / We shake hands, with this motto warmed / Usque ad finem //. The authorship of Bolesław Rusiecki, Edward Pawłowicz and Alfred Romer is given by A. Śnieżko, without, however, indicating the source of this information. J. Gr. states that the monument was erected with contributions from his comrades. The tombstone was searched for during the 20th century. After it was found, it underwent restoration (at the expense of Prof. Michał Homolicki's family, his tomb was also restored) (cf. J. Gr.).
