Alexander Benedict Stanislas Sobieski (1677-1714), son of King John III and Marie Casimire d'Arquien, lived in Rome from 1710 and died here. He was buried in the Capuchin church in Rome, where his statue by Camillo Rusconi can be admired. The sculpture was created between 1727 and 1728 and is made of marble and stucco. It is approximately 400 cm high.
