Tombstone of Aleksandra Szeluk

Worobijówka | Ukraine

Burial site marked by a statue of the Virgin Mary on a two-stepped plinth and three-stepped base. Statue on its own base. Mary holds her hands in a prayer gesture. She is dressed in a long ruffled robe and cloak. Long hair, veil on head. Bare feet visible. First step of plinth with moulded upper edges. The second step of the plinth covered by a stylised capitol form, framed on each side by a frieze of triangles. Glazed panels on the sides. On the front a frame of engraved mouldings, within which is an engraved inscription. The first and second steps of the base and the first step of the pedestal glazed.
